Bray Executive Search is a national executive search firm specializing in family office/family wealth management. We have been retained by a multi-family office (MFO) who is seeking a Wealth Advisor for their office in a Northwest suburb of Chicago, IL.
This independent firm is one of the fastest growing wealth advisories in the Greater Chicago area; and they offer a full range of wealth management and family office services for HNW/UHNW clients. This firm has a platform and business model that allows for customized and sophisticated solutions. The firm’s holistic scope of family office services include: investment management, planning, philanthropic consultancy, trust and fiduciary services, and financial administration.
The focus of the Wealth Advisor is client relationship management including the cultivation of new client relationships. Candidates should have a demonstrated and proven record of successfully managing client relationships along with the ability to win new business. It is highly preferred that he or she have an area of subject expertise relevant to family wealth client delivery (i.e. planning, investment management, trust, tax, etc.). The Wealth Advisor should have a wealth consulting orientation as he or she will profile clients regarding their values, needs, and goals across the family enterprise as well as their full financial picture.
The Wealth Advisor will work closely with client families through a consultative approach and have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of these families across generations. The successful candidate must be able to understand and apply solutions to complex financial issues and apply comprehensive services and resources as needed. Candidates must have an established external presence and ideally able to contribute to thought leadership and be a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee.
The Wealth Advisor will join a talented team with expertise in the HNW/UHNW client segment. It is imperative that the candidate be a seamless cultural fit in a collaborative and collegial environment. The firm is entrepreneurial and independent and equity is part of the compensation package.
- BA required; prefer graduate or professional studies; CFP, CFA, CPA, JD, MBA, etc.
- Minimum 5-10+ years of wealth advisory to HNW/UHNW family clients
- Proven experience in client relationship management and new business development
- Demonstrated knowledge of solutions across wealth management disciplines
