Our client is a private invitation-only membership organization for ultra-affluent families.  They are looking for a newly created role of Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer who has a proven background in HNW/UHNW family consultancy, luxury hospitality, or exclusive membership organizations.  The position will work remotely, but the candidate will need to live near an airport for occasional travel.

Our client has gained national recognition as an oasis for exceptionally accomplished UHNW families who want to master and transfer the stewardship of wealth from one generation to the next.  Member families are leaders whose success has brought immense wealth but aspire to do still more in order to inspire and challenge future generations.

The COO will report directly to the two founding managing partners, participate on the executive leadership team, and oversee the functional leadership of the organization, helping to remove obstacles and barriers.  The COO will hold the leadership team accountable and will be the steady force in the organization. 

The COO will integrate the major functions of the business, acting as the “glue” for the organization.  This role will oversee the execution of the strategic plan, provide inspiration and support, and be accountable for the P&L results.  The COO will deliver organizational clarity, communication, and consistency as well as drive results, force resolution/focus, build team unity, and follow-through.

The organization expects the incumbent candidate to deliver results, including:

  • Using leadership + management to create accountability, first at the leadership team level but also throughout the organization.
  • P&L oversight and accountability for overall performance against the financial plan and forecast
  • Execution of the one, three, and five year strategic plans as developed by the leadership team.
  • Lead and deliver multi-level communications throughout the organization, so team members stay consistently informed and inspired; address issues and resolve conflicts.


  • 5+ years in a leadership role such as CEO / COO/ CFO/CAO, general manager, regional manager, or business unit/division leader positions with strong, inspirational leadership abilities and a deep sense of ownership.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role working with HNW/UHNW multigenerational family clients with a preference for candidates with experience in family consultancy, luxury hospitality and/or exclusive membership organizations.
  • Comfortable with a remote team; highly responsible and natural delegator, highly organized and fluent in details.
  • Tech Savvy – Monday, CRM, Office, etc., with highly developed analytical skills/tools and the ability to observe numbers and results.
